Usefulness of Blogs
Using blogs in the classroom can benefit ELs and all students. It allows students to practice writing while applying the concepts they learned in the classroom. In Blogging for Academic Purposes with English language learners , students who participated in writing blog responses improved their writing. The students were able to find their writing errors quickly and learned how to use quotes in their responses properly. These results align with the idea that blogs support constructive learning opportunities for students to deepen their understanding (Tsetsos & Prentzas, 2021). I could not use this method with my teaching students because they are very early learners. This means we are not at the point where they can type a response independently.
